BCS Championship

First off I have to thank the Kansas Jayhawks for pulling back to an even 2-2 in the major bowl games. My Sooners let me down big time and Hawaii never got a chance to get their offense going.

Now, whether or not I finish above 500 will be decided by the national championship between Louisiana State University and Ohio State University.

The Buckeyes come in to the game after a month of hearing how much slower they are than LSU and the rest of the SEC for that matter. Becaus eof that, I am sure they will be motivated and come out ready to play. OSU has one of the best defenses in college football, but when you think about it, they really haven't played very many great offenses. If you take a look back, their only loss came to Illinois, who was dominated in the Rose Bowl by USC.

The fact is, the SEC does have faster athletes than the Big Ten. This truth was exposed last year when Florida embarassed this same Ohio State team in the BCS title game. And I don't think this year will be any different.

As much as I hate to say it, I think LSU will dominate this football game with their overall team speed. I also think special teams could be big for the Tigers. Look for Trindon Holliday to be big on kick returns, as well as out of the running back position. Holliday is a track star and probably the fastest player in college football. I think he could sneak up on the Buckeyes kind of like Noel Devine snuck up on the Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl.

In the end, I think LSU wins big. But what do I know, I'm 2-2, remember?

42-17 LSU.
