There has been talk of late to put on the market our Strategic Oil Reserves that we have in reserve on the Gulf Coast.

All the Presidential Candidates say we should , but President Bush says we should not and i believe we should not as well.

In these very trying times i believe we should Hope for the Best, but Prepare for the Worst!     Below is a letter  i sent to our Lawmakers and the folks above!

Dear State and Federal , Senators, Representatives, Presidential Candidates

I strongly disagree with taking the oil from the Reserves that we saving for Emergency!

The terrorist are not stupid they know that to really hurt the Country is to attack the Oil  that supply this Country’s Oil Needs

These people could destroy a whole city and although that would be serious, stopping the flow of oil could do even more damage, food prices that are already rising would double or triple over night. The Military is another reason to keep this oil underground , in case we was attacked the Military would not be mobile to take care of what is needed!

All it would take is a supply depot in Saudi Arabia, sink tanker or two , one or more oil producing Countries goes through Governmental change that we are not friends with!

This oil should only be used for if needed, # 1 The Military , # 2 The Production, Distribution and Storage of FoodTo empty these reserves so Johnny , Mary and the Kids can drive across the state to can go camping and only save $ .05 a gallon would just be setting us up for dangerous situation to our National Security.

One more item to add is just as serious as the above, and that is we need to quit sucking up to big oil, coal and go to work now on the much needed alternative energy that is also Environmentally Clean and I am talking all the resources we have, such as NASA, Engineers from all over Country both Public and Private!

I don’t care if the price of gas gets to be $ 6.00 a gallon, do not touch the reserves!
