Shooter On The Run:

Authorities aren’t getting any help from the victim of a shooting in their search for his alleged shooter.

“He refuses to cooperate,” Deputy Donny Raley, sheriff’s office communications director, said about the victim, Bobby Mack Seacrest Jr., 26. A Kingstone area resident, Seacrest was reportedly wounded in the leg by 28-year-old Billy Joe Self during an altercation that took place some time Tuesday afternoon just outside the Kingston city limits, according to a preliminary investigation report filed by Deputy Ed Kent.

Money Matters:

Sandy Lackey has been teaching Plainview High School students about money management since the beginning of the fall semester. At the same time, she has been exposing her own children to a sampling of the lessons she’s been doling out in the classroom.

“I have two daughters, Tess, 16, and Katie, 12,” she said. “Every time we g out to eat, they have to figure the tip — in their heads.” And while that might not seem like fun to the girls, they are learning an important lesson that puts them ahead of many of their peers.
